For me, Miranda’s work is not only aesthetically gripping, but also addresses the inorganic quality of most contemporary jewelery, playfully suggesting that the materials used in popular ornamentation create a separation between the flesh and the object. By using materials associated with living organisms, one may potentially showcase such organisms’ aesthetic relationship with humans, and contribute to the exaltation of mutual earthly living.
